Words like genocide, colonization, apartheid and occupation are thrown around to viciously fuel the despair, confusion & anger amongst our impulsive, influenceable youth.
With social media content being produced and disseminated by the millisecond, the only way to stay relevant and capture the rapidly fading attention spam of people is by exploiting humanity’s fears. So consciously, or subconsciously, we prostitute ourselves to HATE, HORROR, BLOOD & RAGE in order to feel as though we’re part of something; breeding “keyboard activists” that feel e-gotistically accomplished by likes & followers.
America has been at war. A war carefully orchestrated by much older & cunning nations. The fastest way to destruction is from within and the self-hatred today in America is beyond alarming. This young melting pot, yes founded partially on grave mistakes and unfathomable abuse, is also a nation to admire, honor and respect. Why? For the numerous reasons so many of us, our parents or our grandparents migrated here. We better wake up and smell the coffee soon or we’ll end up like the places many of us escaped from. And that might just happen, because history tends to repeat itself, and here’s inconvenient fact: for as long as there’s been humans on earth there has been conquering.
Now, Israel: Let me start by emphasizing something that no “social justice” post or news organization manages to remember, Jewish peoples are some of the most persecuted Indigenous minority in history and although they regained sovereignty over their ancestral land, the persecution has NOT ended. Of course this does not automatically give any race carte blanche to do whatever they want in war but it is extremely important not to speak of this conflict without proper context.
Jewish people, amongst others, are by definition Indigenous people of Israel and just as the blood quantum theory is used against Native Americans or Indigenous descendants in Central and South America, this same strategy has been utilized by Arab supremacy to disprove Jewish ancestry. It is quite ironic that the great majority of BIPOC aren’t standing in solidarity with the Jewish people given the similar lived experiences of persecution, racism, extermination and genocide. Jewish people haven’t only miraculously survived, but what’s left of them have managed to thrive despite a truly never ending persecution. Yet, Jews are now exclusively seen as evil oppressors simply because antisemitic propaganda works.
Indigeneity and evidence of true ethnic cleanses only seem to expire for the Jews. So here’s a list of the hundreds of recorded expulsions, ethnic cleanses and genocides committed against Jews just in recent history (AD) apart from the Holocaust.
What is happening today in Gaza is heartbreaking to say the least, but there is MUCH more to the story than “75 years of occupation”. And by regurgitating antisemitic false claims, people from the comfort of their Western homes, aren’t only harming the Jews but are inadvertently perpetuating the unrest IN Palestine & prolonging a conflict that only leads to more civilians deaths. The attack to Israel is an attack on all Western democratic societies and the end goal of extremist Islamic nationalists (to put it nicely), is to destroy and annihilate not only the Jews, but also Christians and all other Western societies of “infidels”.
Listen to it for yourself:
How does an internationally recognized terrorist organization that PUBLICLY declares its aim to annihilate ALL Jews and destroy Israel, gets to brutally rape & slaughter Israelis, yet almost immediately GAIN international support? How do they conduct such EVIL massacre and do not make a single request to advance the “liberation” of Palestine yet are seen as “martyrs” or “freedom fighters”?
Most of the Hamas’ supporting protests, rallies, social media posts and op-eds began WELL before Israel started retaliating. Of course, the retaliation is beyond tragic and disturbing for most humans, including most Israelis. Nobody in their right mind would applaud the death of innocent civilians and specifically of children (except Hamas and another deranged extremist groups). But what is happening in Gaza today is the terrible effects of WAR. War is inherently nasty, bloody and destructive. And the truth is that there was a ceasefire in place, for a few years actually, and it was Hamas who broke it on October 7th.
Israel’s goals are simple: 1. Bring the hostages home and 2. Destroy Hamas. Many can easily argue that there are other ways to retrieve the hostages or to get Hamas to surrender but that is idealistic, irresponsible and utopian. Negotiating with evil terrorists whose command center was intentionally built beneath the largest hospital in Gaza (the Shifa Hospital) and use their fuel to carry out deadly operations, simply can’t be something any of us spoiled and privileged Westerners can even begin to comprehend, let alone pretend to know better than those people living it.
Today’s reality in Gaza is appalling though it is most certainly NOT an organized genocide or premeditated ethnic cleanse. The population in Gaza has gone from 1 million in 2003 to 2.2 million in 2023, growing more rapidly than most nations, including Israel, quite the opposite of a genocide. Yet according to a recent Harvard/Harris poll, over 50% of Americans under 25 believe that the Israeli massacre on October 7th was “justified” because of antisemitic propaganda about the “occupation” and THAT is the biggest issue today; Pardon my bluntness, but ignorant, and illiterate people regurgitating geopolitical terms with no real knowledge or lived experience of this conflict are causing much confusion and are inadvertently supporting terror.
Let’s put things in perspective: There are 1.8 BILLION Muslims in the world and make up 24% of the worlds population. There are only 15 million Jews worldwide and make up 00.19% of the worlds population. Additionally, over 20% of the population in Israel are Muslim Arab citizens that are able to vote, run and serve in government positions, and receive equal rights as all other Jewish citizens. Islam is the second-largest religion in Israel.
There are 0 Jewish people in Gaza or in the West Bank.
Many of today’s “social justice activists” associate Israel with White supremacy and believe that there is no other objective perspective but that in which Palestinians (people of color) are the victims and Jews (white people) the villains. Ironically, if you visit Israel, it’s often hard to differentiate who is of Arab descent and who is a Sephardic Jew. That is because in some ways, there are one of the same. Recent Jewish exodus from Arab and Muslim countries fleeing persecution, principally AFTER the creation of Israel in 1948, including most North African Jews, now encompass over 55% of Israel’s population, while the Ashkenazim (Eastern Europeans, or “Whites”) are about 45 percent. Israel is a country made up of refugees, a safe heaven to persecuted minorities, which is why many of the citizen soldiers and reservist who quickly enlisted back this month to protect their country, are in fact BIPOC.
So what is Gaza like? Why did 10/7 occur? Who is to blame? Let’s talk recent history after having mentioned the ancestral persecution of Jews above.
Gaza is rough. Similar to most third world countries, there is an extremely high rate of unemployment and a general lack of DEPENDABLE infrastructure both social, (i.e. schools, hospitals, etc.) and physical, (i.e. hydro, water, data, etc.). Although, as many images of Gaza city on Google will show, there also happen to be luxurious shopping malls, hotels and fancy homes partially hidden in among the horrid slums where the majority of people live.
How is this possible? Well despite what the world seems to believe, it’s not the direct result of the Israeli, (and Egyptian), blockades. The blockades themselves are actually a direct result of the HAMAS dictatorship which apparently has only one overriding goal: THE DESTRUCTION OF THE STATE OF ISRAEL and the elimination of all Jewish people.
Much, if not all of the energy and of course the huge amount of international aid delivered to Gaza (approx $700 million per year) goes into efforts to achieve that evil goal all while Hamas leadership live lavish lives in the elite and select areas mentioned above.
But it wasn’t supposed to happen that way. In 2005 Israel attempted to find another solution (despite Palestine rejecting all previous two state proposals, look up: UN Resolution 181, Camp David accords, Oslo accords, Resolution 242, etc). Israel forcibly removed all Jewish people, around 7,000 of them, from Gaza while also removing IDF installations. The goal was to establish an autonomous “Jew free” Palestinian enclave that was to be ultimately connected to the West Bank by a road.
The Israelis who had lived in Gaza prior to 2005 had established a flourishing greenhouse industry and had built high quality housing, schools and hospitals which were left almost entirely intact when they were dragged unwillingly back to Israel. Most of those were compensated by free homes in the West Bank (which in retrospect, was not the most brilliant of solutions, certainly not if the goal was to placate the Palestinian population as a whole).
But back to Gaza. The ultimate “plan” for Gaza was to create what might be called an Arab Singapore. As most people know Singapore is home to over 6 million of the world’s most prosperous and healthy people on about the same amount of land that Gaza holds with only a third of the population. The idea was to create a duty free cruise port, an international airport and seaside resorts that would have rivaled any in the Middle East. Fair and democratic elections were scheduled for a few months following the Israeli withdrawal.
But in those few months everything fell apart. In the days following the withdrawal, Hamas instigated mobs to ransack the abandoned Israeli settlements, smashing the greenhouses, burning the homes and desecrating the synagogues. At the same time they started sending low grade rockets into Israeli settlements adjoining Gaza. Because of the poor quality they caused more anxiety among the Palestinian occupants of those settlements than damage but it was an ominous sign of things to come.
Unfortunately Hamas was elected by the people of Gaza and defeated the Palestinian Authority, and since then has not held elections in over 15 years. So much for democracy in Gaza.
From the outset Hamas has made clear that it has only one over-riding goal - i.e. the total elimination of Israel and the vast majority of its Jewish inhabitants. To that end it has used every tool in their tool box including anything they could take from the naive, (and maybe not so naive), humanitarian agencies to further that goal.
Concrete which was supposed to rebuild homes and other infrastructure was used to build tunnels under Israeli, (and Egyptian), territory for purposes of infiltration as well as to develop storage for rockets that have grown increasingly efficient and can now reach beyond Tel Aviv.
Money that was supposed to go to hospitals, schools, and housing for the masses has instead gone to the Hamas elite and their families only. Yasser Arafat, Palestine’s most infamous political leader, is believed to have amassed a net worth of over 8 billion dollars. Abu Marzook and Khaled Mashal, Hamas leaders, are believed to be worth over 3 billion dollars EACH.
Just as big Pharma wants us sick and profitable, Gaza is MUCH more lucrative for Hamas (and previous leaderships) in conflict, therefore intentionally destroying all possibilities of peace for the Palestinian people.
Were it not for the foreign aid agencies, there would probably be no schools, medical facilities, or even basic necessities for the masses because what monies Hamas doesn’t siphon off to build tunnels and smuggle in their weapons, they use for the leadership’s comfort - at least that which isn’t sent to safe havens abroad.
And meanwhile, they have convinced the world and the Palestinian ordinary people that this is all the fault of Israel and the Jews and once Israel is destroyed and “the streets run with Jewish blood” there will be a world beyond their fondest dreams awaiting them.
They glorify suicide bombers and no festival is complete with young children wearing mock suicide belts and singing blood curdling anti-Semitic songs. They convince the inhabitants that if only they can mass the manpower they can run across the border into Israel and start the slaughter, just like they did on October 7th, then they will be liberated.
Yes, Israel’s border walls are tall and border crossings controlled by heavily armed IDF soldiers carefully deciding who/what comes in and out, but can you blame them? They must meticulously oversee and embargo a list of items that come into Gaza given that Hamas uses much of this for their tunnels and weaponry like construction and electrical equipment. Yet despite massive Israeli control, illegal items somehow still get in, probably through the tunnels, because there is a huge and continuous build up of weaponry, more and more sophisticated rockets and the tunnels seem to get replaced as fast as the Israelis and the Egyptians are able to locate and destroy them.
And clearly, despite all the oversight and “occupation” from Israel, on October 7th Hamas won. It brutally raped girls, women and elders to the point that their pelvis’ were shattered, it dismembered children and adults, it burned families alive, it removed the eyes and fingers of children while their parents watched, before being shot to death. These are just some of the horrific stories of what Hamas is capable of, and TODAY over 200 hostages are still in their captivity.
So what’s life like for the common people of Gaza? Pretty damn bad! Unless you’re Hamas. And what is life for the common people in Israel? Surpassingly filled with joy, hope and resilience despite rockets being intercepted day in and day out (thank Gd for the Iron Dome) until they get hit again and the centuries of persecution get brought right back up to the surface and they are reminded that being a Jew is a heavy burden to carry. Especially now, as Western cities chant and influencers post:
“From the river, (Jordan) to the Sea, (Mediterranean) Palestine will be free”, A conscious or unconscious, call for another genocide of the Jews, for the extermination of the State of Israel.
Despite Israel’s “siege” on Palestine, and the lack of fuel and basic necessities for the people, Hamas has managed to direct more than 7,000 rockets towards Israel since October 7th. So while Westerners pretend to be geopolitical experts, believing the death toll numbers that the Hamas run Ministry of Health continues to release, Israel and the Jewish people continue to be under attack.
So if your “ceasefire” post does not simultaneously demand that ALL hostages be released immediately, and if your “ceasefire” hashtag does not demand Hamas to surrender, then your social justice is tilted towards one group of people only, making your statements not only racist but also antisemitic.
October 7th has been planned for years, taking in hostages and not releasing them while taunting Israel with threats was all part of the plan. The more Israel attacks, the more “victimized” Gaza is, the more Hamas succeeds. And WE get to choose what and who we support. And wether we fall into the trap of darkness or have the courage to stand up for the light, no matter how many will attack you and crucify you for it.
As a woman, a woman of color of indigenous descent I stand unequivocally with Israel as that is the only more stance to take; not just for the Jewish people, but for the innocent Palestinians being used by Hamas and for the preservation of democracy and freedom in the Western world.

May you be remembered for these words. May you be for voluntarily taking to the Internet to write about your support for the political State of Israel--that in the midst of thousands of children being bombed, THIS was what you posted and had to say. May it be remembered.
