Why I'll Never Conceive Via IVF, Birth Through Surrogacy or Freeze My Eggs...
Women’s sacred longing to create life, now weaponized against them by the greedy allopathic medical system
I used to think that only a fool would reject innovation. After all, isn't that why we continue developing, engineering, and incubating more and more tech and medical advancements? In the past, I would have considered fertility treatments as "advancements," but I certainly no longer feel that way… Here’s why:
"Anything that you do that disrupts the Law of Nature is bound to have an impact in your human experience and in your ability to ascend in your consciousness and your spirituality."
As I've sat with this teaching and many others, I realize that no matter what our reasoning might be, most of what we do when it comes to infertility in Western medicine is rooted in our personal desires to fulfill what we want, when we want it and to control the ultimate outcome via artificial processes based on our preferences (and as long as we can pay for it as this is a very profit-driven industry)
As radical as this might sound: IVF, surrogacy, and egg freezing are all rooted in this philosophy: Defy nature via artificial and high tech processes to fulfill a personal desire that fits our timing and comfort. No wrong or right choice here; simply a reflection of modern-day personal wants and awareness.
Personally, I have yet to come across a fertility doctor, clinic or OBGYN that even poses questions of this sort: what is your physical body telling you right now? Intuitively, why do you think this is happening? What are you afraid of, and what might be energetically or physically blocking you in this phase from conceiving a baby? Instead, it very quickly becomes about doctors becoming the saviors and lots of needles, meds, and surgery (and, of course, lots of bills.)

Infertility is a powerful message that something is off or out of balance within us; therefore, our bodies cannot conceive or maintain life to the full extent. And rather than this being a definite or cruel sentence, it can be a potent opportunity to find coherence between mind, body, and soul and clear whatever blockages (be it physical or energetic) that must be cleansed or transcended so a new life can come through us; I firmly believe that almost ALL of the women who wish to conceive naturally, can do so regardless of age if we return to self-governing and self-attuning to our bodies.
Surrogacy, on the other hand, is becoming more popular not just for women who cannot carry their own babies but more so now for women who don't want to go through the "inconvenience of pregnancy," something massively rooted in control and "self-preservation" rather than seeing the initiation of conception and pregnancy as a sacred rite of passage. Similarly to egg freezing (which I admit, I once considered doing myself), are typically ways to attempt to control the future rather than trusting our bodies & the divine timing of our journey. Of course, there are many other reasons why women choose surrogacy or to freeze eggs, such as an early cancer diagnosis, among others. And ultimately, just as with the ending of a pregnancy, the creation of one should rest only on the mother's choice and not anyone else's.
Unfortunately, we are very misinformed about infertility treatments just as we are about everything else big pharma tries to sell us. I believe we are in a spiritual war at the moment, and many aspects of our sexuality, fertility, birth, family and natural ways of living are under attack. Anchoring our soul to what is true to us is our greatest weapon but it requires self-reliance, doing our own research and radical accountability.
We haven't just been led to believe that fertility treatments are exclusively to our advantage, but we've been greatly misled in many ways about the possible consequences and effects that these might have in our lives and in our future offsprings' lives. We are allured by these "advancements" without clearly being told that this is part of a highly profit-driven industry that intentionally omits findings to continue its sales growth. We are told that having more medical choices is part of having equal rights and even of the feminist movement that allows us to now have “the freedom to do whatever we want”, but ultimately, I am unclear if doing what "we want" has gotten us any closer to authentic freedom, true happiness, fulfillment, and inner peace.
The question then becomes: is "taking matters into our own hands" supporting us as humans (especially women) or perhaps in some ways hurting us?
Physically speaking, we are in decline in so many ways. Widespread infertility and the need for assisted reproduction due to infertility, poor semen quality and/or oocyte failure are now major health issues in all "developed" countries. Scientific reports show what we all intuitively know, the declines in fertility rates are in part directly linked to exposures to chemicals originating from fossil fuels to all kinds of other environmental toxins (mainly in our water, food, soil, and household/beauty products) causing human reproductive problems and cancer, especially when exposed during the early gestation period, much more common. So despite our constant innovative medical and technological advancements in every single industry during this century, our life force and our ability to reproduce is declining sharply (not to mention the severe effects of birth control, something I believe is a significant reason for our high infertility rates and high unbalance/diseases on female reproductive systems.)

What about mental and/or spiritual well-being? Holistic health, as opposed to allopathic or Western medicine, sees the body as a whole organism, including non-matter; in other words, not just our body but also our mind and spirit. For starters, given the data above on environmental exposures to toxins, peace, balance and coherence of the mind can't exist in a body that is ill, depleted and/or poisoned. In addition to that, there is little to no emphasis in our society on supporting and feeding our energy body, despite even physics proving that all matter is converted to/from energy. No talks or guidance whatsoever from any "medical professionals" or "experts" on how to find peace within, how to reconnect to nature through our bodies, how to tap into our intuition to guide us and direct us, or how we posses the ability to heal ourselves.
It is a radical notion to tell someone that they can materialize health, wellness, conception, and much more if they live a coherent lifestyle. Yet mental health issues and disorders continue to rise with only temporary (and dangerous) "solutions" such as SSRIs or other drugs provided to us as a method to improve. Yet, more and more people report being on the decline, especially after the pandemic.
Recent epigenetic studies are pretty fascinating when it comes to physical health and mental wellness, and I can't encourage you enough to learn more about these findings if you are struggling with infertility or considering conception. These studies continue to show how we are much more a result of our lifestyle (90%+) than genetics. So it's impossible not to wonder how choosing IVF, surrogacy, and other fertility treatments ultimately affect the child, mother, and even the father. Epigenetics is the study of how our behaviors and environment can cause changes that affect how our genes work. Unlike genetic changes, epigenetic modifications are reversible, and although they do not change your DNA sequence, they can change how your body reads a DNA sequence. In other words, we are literal wizards and alchemists of our health, capable of changing our genes and how DNA IS read by our bodies. Yet, we continue exclusively relying on labs, needles, doctors, and meds to "fix" us and now: to create us.
In my opinion, surrogacy's effects on a child might have the most significant and detrimental impact. The idea of growing a life within a mama to later be given to someone else in exchange for money feels innately so very out of alignment and out of integrity; mainly because if we removed the financial factor, none of these surrogacies would be happening; therefore we are turning the creation of life and the gestation of a human into a transactional affair, and those little ones are being imprinted with this energy from the start. And as controversial as this might sound, I can't help but wonder how in the case of 2 men renting a woman's body to breed a child for them isn't somehow the complete opposite of feminism, in which women do the labor and men reap the benefits? But that's a whole other rabbit hole!
Recent studies are showing other alarming numbers of children born via IVF. This study from Cambridge shows that babies conceived through IVF have a much higher chance of being born early than babies conceived naturally or through other fertility treatments. Twins conceived after IVF are 23% more likely to be born prematurely than twins conceived naturally. During hypnosis, adult men and women return as far back as the womb as they clearly remember any trauma they might’ve experienced while in utero. Having NICU units for the survival of premature babies is a beautiful technological miracle for medical emergencies, but relying on it as a "normal" and common practice as it is used now, without informing the parents of the potential separation, abandonment, and isolation trauma that a newborn experiences and is imprinted within them during these pivotal days, weeks or months are a major violation of the medical oath to "do no harm".
According to this medical reviewed study, slightly more than 9% of babies born via assisted reproductive technology such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) may have significant birth defects, such as heart and urogenital tract malformations. "This translated to an odds ratio of 1.25, meaning there was a 25 percent increased risk of birth defects for infants born after IVF, compared to naturally conceived infants with similar baseline maternal and infant characteristics," Kelley-Quon explained.
Children born via assisted reproductive technology had a five times* higher rate of minor birth defects such as angiomas (a benign tumor of small blood vessels) this study showed. It is not fully understood whether these birth defects or genetic diseases are caused by the infertility treatment itself or the underlying reason for infertility (Epigenetics!), but major malformations were more common among children born via IVF who had low birth weights. Interestingly, parental age at conception did not influence the rate of birth defects.
"Fertility doctors must be informed about the increased risks of imprinting disorders and major malformations because if couples raise questions specifically on this topic, they have to answer as precisely as possible," Geraldine B. Viot, MD, a clinical geneticist at the Maternité Port Royal Hospital, Paris, France.
The desire to have a child is the most natural and in my opinion, sacred rite of passage for us humans to experience. There are no guarantees in life, let alone in parenthood. A naturally conceived child may present medical issues as well, but are we minimizing or ignoring all the potential mental and physical effects of infertility treatments while allowing greedy pharma to leverage our desire to procreate? Ultimately, all of these options now available to us should only be decided by the mother without anyone else's opinion or perceptions weighing above her own. But if we are not being informed truthfully and thoroughly about the many implications these treatments may have, why are we are blindly trusting the same industries who profit from keeping us sick? We are often greatly misled, and major factors/consequences are intentionally omitted so that we continue consuming without questioning; and this is where the beautiful and natural desire to become a mother can quickly be weaponized against us for profit.
Infertility is an extremely sensitive and painful subject for mothers and fathers dealing with it, and I don’t mean to downplay that. I do, however, want to invite those wishing to become pregnant to at least explore ancestral wisdom regarding fertility. Fertility was one of the top priorities in ancient traditions, starting from honoring our menstrual cycle to particular diets and natural healing practices as a methods to naturally and safely conceive children. And of course, if you or anyone you know conceived a child via IVF, then what a blessing! Regardless of how children enter this world, I believe all new souls are here on a purposeful mission.
There are many ways to prepare our body for conception. Starting from mindset, intention, and consciousness. Detoxifying our physical body and our energetic field of anything and everything toxic is absolutely paramount to begin healing and operating in coherence within. Getting radically honest with ourselves about the ways in which we can improve our health and our well-being while taking full responsibility for our bodies. Making all lifestyle changes necessary while also surrendering to the Law of Nature to guide us and intuitively show us the way.
The truth is within. The ability to create life is our birthright as women. We are perfectly designed Divine organisms that knew how to conceive and how to give birth before we were even born. The power to return to basics, to reproduce intentionally, and raise children who are loved and reminded of their sacredness from the start all lies within us.
May we continue to choose the small and the not so small adventures in our lives with consciousness and intention.
With infinite love,
Gabriela
